Denise Higgins

Becoming a real estate agent was an adventure turned inside out. Working as an educator with a psychology degree and part time as a real estate agent, I soon realized that the real estate challenges and the classroom were very similar!  In 1986 I took a sabbatical and never returned.  I say “real estate picked me”!

 

My focus has been to work with the most vulnerable population such as the first time home buyer and our “senior” population, who need the greatest form of service, dedication and trust.  If you are not among this group, you still have the need and desire to have an honest real estate agent advocate for your best interests.  

 

I hold the SRES certification – Seniors Real Estate Specialist and LMC – Loss Mitigation Certification.  In addition, I am a Massachusetts Certified Real Estate Appraiser. I have a list of other achievements, designations and interests however, my broad depth of knowledge from years of experience is my greatest benefit to the buying, selling, and investing public. 

 

I am an Easton resident with two college bound kids and a husband working in the parallel field of real estate development.  I continue to actively volunteer within the community on a variety of issues.  As the saying goes “it’s such a small world” I’m sure I’ve bumped into you along the way and if not, I cherish the opportunity to meet with you some day!

In 1999, 3 days after Christmas, it was completely coincidental that both of my parents were diagnosed with lung cancer.  My dad quit smoking 30 years earlier and my mom never ever smoked.  My dad died Christmas Day 2000 and my mom died 6 weeks later.  I am one of 4 daughters.  Our hearts were broken and then we had the task of dismantling our family home and ultimately putting it up for sale. 

None of us knew a Realtor or had any real estate experience.  We chose our Realtor solely based on a low commission.  Little did we know that all Realtors are not created equal.  Our real estate experience was the worst.  The Realtor only saw us as a sale for her not as a grieving family.

 

As a result of that experience, I became a Realtor.  I did not want any one else to experience the same thing that our family did.  I am a full time Realtor, dedicated to helping people move on with their lives, and achieve their dreams. I am very proud of the credentials you see above.  These credentials are held by only 3% of Realtors nationwide.  I believe that I owe my clients not only my commitment to helping them achieve their goals but to without doubt have the knowledge to make that happen.

Hello and thank you for taking the time to stop and read my bio. My name is Melissa Mancini, and I have been a Realtor® for almost 10 years. I became a partner in Goodwin Realty Group upon its inception in 2008. I was in need of a change at the time and wanted to work in an environment where I did not have to climb a corporate ladder to seek approval if something “out of the box’ had to be done to assist my clients in accomplishing their real estate goals.

 

So today I am happy to say that in this ever changing market, I am afforded the opportunity of flexibility and to make swift decisions to accommodate my clients! There is no manual or script for me to follow, as my company was formed around the concept that each client has different needs and no two real estate transactions are alike.

 

I don’t “push” my clients to do anything. And, there is no smoke and mirrors…You are either interested in moving forward with a real estate transaction or you’re not, and I respect that. I understand that real estate is likely the largest investment one will make in their lifetime.

 

I feel that my primary role is to educate my clients and to provide them with all of the tools, information and resources they need to make an informed decision on their own. I am straight shooter and I make “Real Estate – Real Simple”; by taking all of the guess work out of it to those I represent and helping them to avoid the pitfalls they may encounter along the way. My vast market knowledge, advanced education, experience and use of today’s technology is a large part of how I can help make a real estate transaction as seamless as possible for you. I work primarily with Buyers & Sellers involved in Residential Real Estate transactions, including: Single Family Homes, Condos, Investment Properties, New Construction and Foreclosures.
