I believe in real estate. Seven years ago my husband and I formed a construction company, became real estate investors and together have rehabbed and sold dozens of homes. We also own two multi-family properties. So three years ago when I was looking for a career that would allow me time to still work in our family business and be available for my two daughters, it only made sense that I should become a real estate agent.
This whole business is about relationships. Clients have questions. A good real estate agent has answers, or at least knows how to find them. Being able to truly listen to what the customer is asking and addressing their concerns during this oftentimes confusing, stressful time is paramount to establishing a good relationship with them. The buyer or seller should be able to trust and feel comfortable with their agent. By talking with them I get a better sense of who they are and what they want.
The people I represent are not just be my clients or customers, but become my friends as well. I want them to feel I am their partner in this process, they are not alone and I am here to support them in any way I can. They will need to be educated. They may need to be reassured. They may need their hand held. What they don’t need is someone who is going to sit back and expect things to happen on their own. Whatever it takes to make this transformation as easy as possible is what I am prepared to do.
